Buffy Farnsworth

Buffy is responsible for all things related to Big V Team Members. It starts with recruiting, taking the time to hire the right people in the right positions, onboarding, and providing great benefits as part of our total compensation. Once on-board, Buffy guides our team members through training and development, performance reviews, goal setting, fitness & wellness initiatives, lending an ear and much more.  It is Big V’s Family First Core Value that resonates most with Buffy and she is proud to champion support for our community service as well as our internal and external families. She often says the thing she loves most about working at Big V is that we don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk!

Buffy started her career in Sales with 15 years at Marriott.  After switching to HR 8 years in, she left Marriott and continued to grow her HR experience with Campus Crest Communities, Cisa Lubes/Jiffy Lube, and the Brixton Group before joining Big V in late 2020.

Buffy got her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education at the College of Charleston. Then went on to complete her MBA at the University of South Carolina.  She also holds a Professional Human Resources Certification.

In her free time, Buffy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks!
