Luke is responsible for assisting in the development and reporting of investment strategy for our portfolio of shopping centers by working closely with the operational department heads. He builds and maintains detailed analyses of property valuations, asset performance, and market position and communicates these results accurately and concisely to leadership.

After spending two years in marketing, Luke spent a year and a half as a Commercial Leasing Analyst for Urban Land Interests In Madison, WI where he learned fundamentals in commercial leasing and construction.

Luke received his Bachelors degree in Marketing & Management and his Masters in Real Estate, both from the University of Wisconsin. Before Big V, Luke was trained as a bourbon steward and drove the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Outside of work, he loves to play volleyball, walk his Beagle, travel, and cheer on Wisconsin sports teams.

Andrew Schafer joins our Asset Management team as an Analyst. Andrew’s primary focus will be to drive operational efficiencies and maximize the financial performance of Big Vs real estate portfolio. The Asset Management team aims to align with Big V’s goal to support our tenants and generate strong risk-adjust returns for our stakeholders. 

Prior to joining Big V Property Group, Andrew held roles at Cushman & Wakefield and at Honeywell on the Global Real Estate Team. His experience includes underwriting, property valuation, market analysis and real estate portfolio management. During his tenure at Honeywell, Andrew helped manage strategic real estate portfolio decisions which included the consolidation and disposition of 60+ sites in the Americas totaling over $40M of fixed cost reduction and $30M+ sale cash proceeds.

Andrew graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Finance where he played on the varsity tennis team. He also received a master’s degree from UNC Charlotte in Data Science & Business Analytics. Andrew is a member of the CFA Society of North Carolina. 

Recently, Andrew moved to South Park Charlotte with his fiancée and adopted poodle-terrier mix, Ella. Andrew enjoys playing padel and other racquet sports, trying new local restaurants, reading mystery/thrillers, playing boardgames, traveling and cheering on the Carolina Panthers.
